In an effort to curb the tendency of authors to add character verbal tics to their fanfics, here's a handy dandy guide on what the 'tics' are meant to convey.
China: ある [aru] - Added at the end of a sentence; basically the Japanese equivalent of showing a Chinese accent. Despite this, don't ever ever write out a 'Chinese accent.' Ever.
South Korea: だぜ! [da ze!] - Added at the end of a sentence; shows enthusiasm and confidence; ぜ [ze] makes it masculine
Taiwan: だよ! [da yo!] - Added at the end of a sentence; informal; shows enthusiasm/emphasis
Hong Kong: 的な [teki na] - Used to lessen the impact of a statement; similar to saying "I guess" "sorta" "kinda" "[adjective]-ish"; associated with teenagers
